When it comes to explaining why Calvary Day lost, one person who can't be blamed is Zora Geiger. Despite the final result, she scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Destini Gooddine, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Savannah Country Day is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Calvary Day, their defeat ended a 23-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 18-5.
