Cibola is 1-9 against San Luis since April of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Raiders will be playing at home against the Sidewinders at 3:45 p.m. San Luis took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Cibola, who comes in off a win.
Cibola took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They never let Desert Sunrise get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. That ten-run margin sets a new team best for the Raiders this season.

Carter Kennedy was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Kennedy was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Cibola is 2-1 when Kennedy posts two or more runs, but 1-4 otherwise.
In other batting news, Cibola let Isaac Lopez and Fernando Camacho run wild. Lopez went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run, while Camacho went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one triple. Another player making a difference was Ryker Drake, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Cibola was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2025.
Meanwhile, San Luis entered their contest against Central on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Sidewinders fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 9-8.
Heri De La Cruz made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Canek Ron, who earned two runs and one stolen base.
Cibola is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for San Luis, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2-1.
Cibola came up short against San Luis in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, falling 5-2. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
