In what's become a running theme this season, the Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 65-41 margin over Tiverton. The win was nothing new for Mount St. Charles Academy as they're now sitting on six straight.
Leading Mount St. Charles Academy to victory were Emma Roberts and Addison Johnson. Roberts scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Johnson scored 20 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Johnson is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Anna Dziun, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Tiverton lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cami Oliveira, who scored 11 points. Izabell Williams was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Mount St. Charles Academy pushed their record up to 14-3 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.2 points per game. As for Tiverton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
Mount St. Charles Academy will head out on the road to face off against the Quakers at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Moses Brown will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak. As for Tiverton, they will be playing at home against the Villa Novans at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Woonsocket is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
