Crest won against Oswego on Monday with 24 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Lancers put the hurt on the Jayhawk Linn Jayhawks with a sharp 24-5 win. The Lancers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by ten runs or more this season.

Roy Gordon and Drake Weir made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Gordon tossed 2.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Meanwhile, Weir struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Gordon has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. At bat, Gordon went 2-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Weir went 3-for-5 with four runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Gordon has posted over his last 12 matches.

In other batting news, Crest got a massive performance out of Kade Nilges, who went 3-for-6 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Nilges continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Henry White, who got on base in five of his six plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI.

Crest kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.

Crest's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.3 runs over those games. As for Jayhawk Linn, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13-2.

Crest will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Jayhawks: the pair will be back at it again later today.
