The Independent Panthers's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 58-35 margin over Conway Springs. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Independent considering their 25-point performance the game before.
Defeat or not, Conway Springs got some senior leadership from Melissa Ebenkamp who scored 18 points and Haylee Osner who scored 11 points.
Independent has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which somehow isn't as good as their 5-1-1 record this season. As for Conway Springs, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Independent will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Douglass on January 30th. As for Conway Springs, they will head out on the road to face off against Chaparral at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chaparral is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
