Adelson's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 14th straight loss. They took a serious blow against Lincoln County, falling 64-22. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Adelson in their matchups with the Lynx: they've now lost nine in a row.
Lincoln County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kalen Bart led the charge by dropping a double-double on 15 points and 17 rebounds. Bart is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games he's played. Another player making a difference was Rowdy Lloyd, who scored 22 points along with three steals.
Adelson's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Lincoln County, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Adelson will challenge the Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Awaken Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Friday. As for Lincoln County, they will head out on the road to challenge the Guardians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. GV Christian is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
