After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Benicia, Campolindo was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the Acalanes Dons get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

The result came thanks to Colin Rutzen's shutout, as he gave up just three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Campolindo's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Blake Robison, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Campolindo's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 11-8. As for Acalanes, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-6-1 record this season.

Campolindo will have a chance to go back-to-back against Acalanes: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
