The Jennings County Panthers entered their tilt with the New Albany Bulldogs with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Jennings County skirted past the Bulldogs 58-56. The win was all the more spectacular given Jennings County's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 118th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 20th).
Carter Kent continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 32 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Jennings County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dorian Hacker, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
The victory got Jennings County back to even at 9-9. As for New Albany, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 13-4.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Columbus East the next time they take the court. New Albany will host Columbus East at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Jennings County will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
