Leo lost against Morgan Park back in March of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Leo fell just short of Morgan Park by a score of 5-4. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Derrick Davis III spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up nine Ks. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, Devin Vassel made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Leo's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Morgan Park, the victory got them back to even at 2-2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leo will take on Thornwood at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Morgan Park, they will face off against Fenwick at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
