The Cresskill Cougars will square off against the Hawthorne Bears on Tuesday. One thing working in Cresskill's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last six matchups.
On Thursday, Cresskill was able to grind out a solid victory over Lyndhurst, taking the game 13-8. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Golden Bears recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Lily Simonneta and Sophia Coleman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Simonneta tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Coleman pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. At the plate, Simonneta went 2-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Coleman earned one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.
