Football Recap: Columbus Skates Past Kendrick with Ease

Columbus won the last time they faced Kendrick and things went their way on Friday too. The Blue Devils really took it to the Cherokees for the full four quarters, racking up a 40-7 victory. The Blue Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 31 points or more this season.

Columbus' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rayshaun Glover, who rushed for 47 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Michael Fox also helped out with an impressive 83 receiving yards.

Columbus didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Joel Fordjour and Andrew Smith Iv. Columbus got some further help from Woodruff Holland: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made five total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Columbus' win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-1. As for Kendrick, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Columbus has already played their next contest, a 28-0 defeat against Spencer on the 24th. As for Kendrick, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 32-0 loss against Shaw on the 24th.
