Nicolet is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Wauwatosa West with a sharp 18-11 win on Saturday.

Hayden Konczal and Quinn Bork did most of the damage at the plate: Konczal went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI, while Bork went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Bork has become a key player for Nicolet: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Brock Stuck, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Nicolet always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .591. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Slinger ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 victory over Arrowhead. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Owls.
Slinger also got a great performance from Aaron Neusen as he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits.
At the plate, Grady Chvosta was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last 11 contests. Payton Tennies was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Nicolet's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Slinger, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
