This season hasn't been kind to the Millsap Bulldogs, who are still winless after their seventh matchup. They took a 58-39 bruising from Childress on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Millsap can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1243rd, while Childress is ranked 74th).
Despite the loss, Millsap had strong showings from Braylon Pugh, who scored 13 points, and Conner Penry, who scored 12 points. The matchup was Pugh's third in a row with at least ten points.
Millsap's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Childress, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Millsap will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Llano at 1:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Llano has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Childress, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Perryton at 6:00 p.m.
