The Dayspring Christian Academy Eagles entered their tilt with the Clear Creek Golddiggers with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Dayspring Christian Academy breezed by Clear Creek at home to the tune of 64-12 on Tuesday. Dayspring Christian Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 31 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dayspring Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eboselulu Omofoma, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds. Omofoma hasn't dropped below 17 points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Faith Hayward, who scored 19 points along with three steals.
Despite the defeat, Clear Creek saw an underclassman step up: Eliott Dunbar scored seven points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Clear Creek struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Dayspring Christian Academy pulled down 19 offensive rebounds.
Dayspring Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Clear Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dayspring Christian Academy will take on Dawson School at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dawson School will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 271st, while Dayspring Christian Academy is ranked 73rd). As for Clear Creek, they will be playing at home against Denver Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Clear Creek: they have been struggling with five straight losses at home, while Denver Christian has snatched up six consecutive wins on the road.
