Clyde had won four straight games and Gracie Caperton did her part to make it five on Tuesday. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Merkel Badgers by a score of 51-38 thanks in part to Caperton, who posted 28 points in addition to eight rebounds and eight steals. She has become a key player for Clyde: the team is 9-1 when she posts at least five steals, but 5-9 otherwise.

Another player making a difference was Braxton Day, who earned 11 points. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Clyde's record now sits at 14-10. As for Merkel, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Coincidentally, Clyde and Merkel will both be playing Wall the next time they take the court. The Badgers will host the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Bulldogs will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
