Hanks got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Daisy Fernandez out in front who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jax (e) alva, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Ysleta saw an underclassman step up: Mary Raygoza scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Hanks is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 17-11 record this season. As for Ysleta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-17.
Hanks will be playing at home against Bel Air at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bel Air is looking to tack on another W to their nine-game streak on the road. As for Ysleta, they will square off against Parkland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Parkland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday.
