Basketball Recap: Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Olivia Wall and Bentley Stubbs

Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 65-39 to the Maxwell Wildcats. Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] was down 48-28 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood]'s defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Bentley Stubbs, who posted seven points along with nine boards and seven steals, and Olivia Wall, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 12 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Wall a new career-high in points.

Maxwell got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Madelyn Flock out in front who had 23 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Emory Christensen, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards.

Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood]'s loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Maxwell, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] will head out to square off against Southern Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Maxwell, they will welcome St. Patrick's at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
