The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. Malden will square off against Lawrence at 7:00 PM on Friday. Both teams have had a rocky road up to this point with eight consecutive losses for Malden and six for Lawrence.
Malden ended up forfeiting their matchup against Everett 0-2 last Friday.
Meanwhile, we expected Lawrence to have trouble with the significantly higher-ranked Methuen, and they did. Lawrence found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 13-35 punch to the gut against Methuen.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see if Malden are able to find more success (and make for a more exciting contest than their last) when the teams meet up.
