Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 57-29, which was the final score in Grace Christian Academy's tilt against the Trojans on Friday. Grace Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-10.
Ali Roberts put forth a good effort for the losing side as she dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Even though they lost, Grace Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. This was only their ninth loss (out of ten games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Georgia Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season. As for Grace Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14.
Georgia Christian took their victory against the Cougars in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 51-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Georgia Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
