Lafayette Christian Academy had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They breezed past the Welsh Greyhounds to the tune of 52-14. With the Knights ahead 49-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Lafayette Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caiden Bellard, who rushed for 160 yards and one TD on only 13 carries, and also threw for 46 yards and one touchdown. Another passer making a difference was Braylon Walker, who threw for 129 yards and four touchdowns on only nine passes.

Lafayette Christian Academy's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Kaleb Simon, Josh Wilson, and Tristen Alexander, who each picked up one sack apiece. Simon was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making six total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Lafayette Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Welsh, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Lafayette Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Evangel Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Welsh, they will venture away from home to take on Lake Arthur at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
