The Brownsburg Bulldogs fought the good fight in their overtime match against the Indian Creek Braves on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Braves 67-62. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (57), Brownsburg still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Brownsburg still got an impressive performance from Macy Twomey, who scored 20 points along with 4 blocks. Elle McCulloch was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 3 blocks.
Indian Creek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ayla Lollar, who scored 18 points along with 5 assists and 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Lauren Foster, who scored 19 points along with 9 rebounds.
Brownsburg are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4. As for Indian Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brownsburg will take on Tri-West Hendricks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Tri-West Hendricks focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Saturday. As for Indian Creek, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Owen Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Owen Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 276th, while Indian Creek is ranked 67th).
