The Grace Christian Crusaders put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by North Raleigh Christian Academy on the road to the tune of 76-46. Grace Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 29 points or more this season.
Sarah Strong was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 18 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last nine times she's played. Icyss Storm was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Grace Christian's victory was their 18th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grace Christian will take on Riverside Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Riverside Christian Academy is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, North Raleigh Christian Academy and Cary Academy will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Cary Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 384th, while North Raleigh Christian Academy is ranked 170th).
