The Ramona Rams will be playing at home against the Palmdale Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
With a playoff game on the line, Ramona rose to the challenge on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 70-13 win over San Gorgonio. The win was just what Ramona needed coming off of a 31-10 loss in their prior match.
Ramona's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jeremiah Acosta, who rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and Sincere Tolbert, who rushed for 220 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.6 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Jake Valenzuela, who picked up 136 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Palmdale had just enough and edged Bellflower out 40-38 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Palmdale.
Clifton Chalk was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 148 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Mason, who rushed for seven yards and a touchdown.
Ramona now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Palmdale, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
