The East Duplin Panthers waltzed into their matchup on Friday with 11 straight wins but they left with 12. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Wallace-Rose Hill 59-16 at home. East Duplin has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 24 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Duplin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kinsey Cave, who scored 11 points along with eight steals and five assists. Cave hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Makya Kornegay, who scored 21 points along with three steals.
East Duplin's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-1. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
East Duplin will play host again and welcome Southwest Onslow, where tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southwest Onslow is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Wallace-Rose Hill, they will head out on the road to face off against James Kenan at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
