The Terrell County Greenwave's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 72-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of Calhoun County. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Saturday (55), Terrell County still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Terrell County still got an impressive performance from Keavonte Anderson, who scored 22 points. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Shaheed Huckaby, who scored 13 points.
Terrell County has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Calhoun County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Terrell County will take on Quitman County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Calhoun County, they will head out on the road to face off against Miller County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Miller County: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Calhoun County has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
