Atlas Preparatory School hasn't had much luck against The Vanguard School recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Gryphons will take on the Coursers at 6:30 p.m.

While Atlas Preparatory School was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Lamar's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-3, 25-7, 25-15.
Meanwhile, The Vanguard School had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Pirates.
The Vanguard School never let St. Mary's on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-12, 26-24, 25-20.
The Vanguard School's win came from a few key players Atlas Preparatory School will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Aili Haisley, who had 21 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 15 or more in each of the last ten games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ainsley Anderson, who had 13 assists and seven digs.
The Vanguard School was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.
Atlas Preparatory School's defeat dropped their record down to 0-19. As for The Vanguard School, their record now sits at 16-5.
Atlas Preparatory School might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from The Vanguard School in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Gryphons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
