Even though Cheshire Academy scored an imposing 62 points on Saturday, Brimmer & May still came out on top. Brimmer & May managed a 68-62 victory over Cheshire Academy.
Meanwhile, Newman's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. Their rough 60-35 loss to Marie Philip might stick with them for a while. Newman has not had much luck with Marie Philip recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Brimmer & May's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4. As for Newman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Brimmer & May against Newman when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 63-33 victory. Will Brimmer & May repeat their success, or does Newman have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
