Canyon View is a perfect 4-0 against Buckeye since March of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Jaguars will look to defend their home field against the Hawks at 3:45 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Canyon View is returning to their home field after beating Verrado on theirs, despite the fact Verrado has dominated at home this season. The Jaguars put the hurt on the Vipers with a sharp 11-1 victory on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Jaguars sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Audrie Castaneda tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Ameliana Mendez was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs. Bella Mora was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.
Canyon View lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Verrado didn't launched any.
Meanwhile, Buckeye made easy work of North Canyon on Thursday and carried off a 16-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Rattlers: they've now won four in a row.
Destiney Litzan (2029) and Caleila Kaluna (2026) made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Litzan (2029) tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Kaluna (2026) tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. At the plate, Litzan (2029) got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Kaluna (2026) went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Buckeye got a massive performance out of Kaleikaumaka Ellis (2026), who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Valeria Villa (2026), who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Canyon View's win bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Buckeye, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Canyon View hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .459. However, it's not like Buckeye struggles in that department as they've averaged .427. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Canyon View got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Buckeye by a conclusive 8-0 score. Will the Jaguars repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
