South Oak Cliff has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the White Longhorns at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
South Oak Cliff scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 104-46 victory over Adamson at home. With South Oak Cliff ahead 63-22 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Meanwhile, White was able to grind out a solid win over Hillcrest on Friday, taking the game 62-54. Given White's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 124th, while Hillcrest is ranked 597th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
South Oak Cliff pushed their record up to 4-7 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points per game. As for White, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-2.
South Oak Cliff couldn't quite finish off White in their previous meeting back in January and fell 36-33. Can South Oak Cliff avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
