This season hasn't been kind to the Glenn Hills Spartans, who are still winless after their 19th game. They were dealt a 103-38 defeat at the hands of Westside on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Glenn Hills can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 487th, while the Patriots are ranked 18th).
Westside's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from JaMarcus Crawford, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Crawford has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Keori Atwell, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Glenn Hills dropped their record down to 0-19 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Westside, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glenn Hills will take on the War Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westside, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Golden Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Hopefully Washington County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
