Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Metamora

Metamora extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 21-6 in the process. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Pekin Dragons. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-3 back in April.

As for Pekin, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered against Metamora since May 6, 2021.

For Pekin's part, Brooklyn Beckham was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Metamora will take on rival Limestone at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Pekin is set to challenge their familiar foe Canton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
