After only two runs in their last match, Thornton Academy made sure to put some runs up on the board against Windham on Thursday. The Trojans blew past the Eagles 11-1. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by eight runs or more this season.
Thornton Academy got a great performance from Ben Indorf as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Indorf has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Brennan Tabor was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Thornton Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-3-1 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Jacob Fish, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.
Thornton Academy pushed their record up to 11-3-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
