Central led Tri-River in scoring this week by notching 57 points on Clovis East.
Buchanan made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,266 from 4,607. The improvement was largely due to a 27-6 victory over the Bears last week.
Clovis's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. RJ Hartmann threw for 100 and 2 touchdowns and Brett Stelling had 48 yards receiving. On the ground Marlon Watkins chipped in 156 yards. JJ Wills helped Clovis' passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 30 yards.
Watkins was a passing and rushing force as the Cougars bested Clovis West. Watkins' favorite target this week was Stelling, who caught 3 passes for 48 yards.
Watkins was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 156 yards on 32 carries as Clovis defeated the Golden Eagles.
Clovis' offense cannot be tamed this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Hartmann has thrown for 2,056 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, while Stelling has 50 catches for 720 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Clovis North takes on the Timberwolves. At the moment, the Broncos are in first, while Clovis East is in fifth.
