The Limon Badgers put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 42-7 win over Cedaredge. The result was nothing new for Limon, who have now won nine matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Limon got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lohgan Bottjer out in front who rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. Another player making a difference was Skylur McCready, who rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Limon's win was their 13th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-0. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 9-2 Monte Vista and 8-2 Strasburg (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 59.7% over those games). As for Cedaredge, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
Limon will take on Banning Lewis Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Banning Lewis Academy will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. Cedaredge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
