The Osborne Cardinals will head out on the road to face off against the Mill Creek Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Osborne has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Mill Creek will arrive with 18 straight victories.
Last Friday, Osborne was the victim of a tough 31-7 loss at the hands of North Cobb. While losing is never fun, Osborne can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 78th, while North Cobb is ranked 18th).
Meanwhile, Mill Creek stacked a sixth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. Everything went their way against Mountain View as Mill Creek made off with a 33-7 win. With Mill Creek ahead 33-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Justin Content was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 69 receiving yards. Trajen Greco made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Osborne's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Mill Creek, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0.
