The Lindale Eagles and the Iowa Colony Pioneers squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Lindale Eagles had to settle for second. Lindale was the victim of a rough 45-22 defeat at the hands of Iowa Colony. Lindale's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Iowa Colony's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jacody Miles, who picked up 104 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Tenner, who rushed for 122 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries.
Lindale's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Iowa Colony, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-0.
Lindale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Iowa Colony will take on Chapel Hill at TBD on Friday. Chapel Hill is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
