After three games on the road, Tulare Union is heading back home. They will take on The San Luis Obispo Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Tulare Union strolled past Tulare Western with points to spare, taking the game 43-28.
Tulare Union's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tieler Peterson led the charge by rushing for 150 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Crisp, who threw for 281 yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, San Luis Obispo had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They skirted past Templeton 17-14.
Jace Gomes continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 95 yards, while also throwing for 86 yards and a touchdown while completing 85.7% of his passes.
Tulare Union's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for San Luis Obispo, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-3.
