Volleyball Recap: Ava Muzumdar Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Lafayette

Highlands won the last time they faced Lafayette and things went their way on Saturday too. The Bluebirds walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Generals.

Highlands got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ava Muzumdar out in front who had four aces and three digs. That's the most aces Muzumdar has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Audrey Sorrentino, who had four digs and two aces.

Highlands is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. As for Lafayette, their loss dropped their record down to 15-13.

Lafayette wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Nelson County on the 11th. Hopefully Highlands paid attention to the Generals' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Generals at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
