Katey Westbury posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and six unearned) runs off 11 hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Westbury and Woodland will challenge Andrews at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sadly, Westbury's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Wolverines' three-game streak of wins on the road. With the streak broken, Westbury and the Wolverines surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Friday's match.
