It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Angleton can now relate to. They fell just short of the Barbers Hill Eagles by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Bella Nava spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

Angleton's defeat dropped their record down to 21-4. As for Barbers Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won 24 of their last 25 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 33-3 record this season.

While Angleton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
