The Fort LeBoeuf Bison will square off against the Warren Dragons at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Warren took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Fort LeBoeuf, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with six losses in a row, Fort LeBoeuf turned things around against Erie on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past the Royals 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bison have posted against the Royals since April 22, 2022.
Grady Matkovich was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Matkovich was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jackson Lewis, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Kadin Dombkowski, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.
Fort LeBoeuf kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Warren was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 9-0 to McDowell.
Warren saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabe Thibodeaux, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.
Fort LeBoeuf's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Warren, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
