The Naugatuck Greyhounds's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 68-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Crosby. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Micah Blackman was the offensive standout of the contest as he dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Curtis Ellis, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Naugatuck's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Crosby, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Naugatuck will head out on the road to face off against Waterbury Career Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Waterbury Career Academy and Naugatuck are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. Crosby will be home for the holidays to greet Holy Cross at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
