After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Goliad, the Woodsboro Eagles were happy to have found some success on Friday. They snuck past Yorktown with a 48-44 victory. That's another feather in the cap for Woodsboro, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Woodsboro can attribute much of their success to Taggart Silvas, who scored 13 points along with 6 steals. Another player making a difference was Amarian Zambezi, who scored 8 points along with 9 steals and 5 rebounds.
Woodsboro is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. As for Yorktown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.
Woodsboro will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Poteet at 4:30 p.m. on December 8th. Poteet is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Yorktown, they will face off against Falls City at 12:45 p.m. on Friday.
