Adding to the longest winning streak in Sangamo this week, Williamsville beat PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central 35-6. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Pawnee scaled the state rankings by moving to 376 from 431 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Indians were able to move up by topping Pleasant Plains 40-0.
Josh Lindsey threw for 123 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 8-14 with 0 interceptions.
Lindsey put up the best numbers through the air as Williamsville beat the Bluejays. Lindsey's favorite target this week was Vince Vignali, who caught 2 passes for 68 yards.
New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly's Jake Hunt and Chase Creviston led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Hunt has thrown for 1,163 yards this season, while Creviston, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 39 catches for 512 yards. Lindsey from Aaron Kunz's team leads the league in rushing with 671 yards.
An important game coming up in Sangamo this week will be when Athens/Greenview takes on the Bullets. As it stands, the Warriors are in fifth, while Williamsville is in first.
Auburn led the league in scoring this week by notching 44 points on Sangamon Valley/Tri-City.
