Lincoln is 7-0 against Berryville since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Lincoln Wolves will head out on the road to face off against the Berryville Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Gentry scored an imposing 34 points on Friday, Lincoln still came out on top. Lincoln took down Gentry 53-34. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lincoln.
Kale Jones got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 320 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 15.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 82 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Jace Birkes was another key contributor, picking up 219 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Berryville's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 20-12 win over Huntsville. The win was just what Berryville needed coming off of a 56-0 loss in their prior matchup.
Lincoln's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Berryville, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
Everything came up roses for Lincoln against Berryville in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 49-13 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lincoln since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
