Anderson County is on a ten-game streak of home wins, while Lafayette is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Bearcats will host the Generals at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Anderson County 3.4, Lafayette 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Anderson County barely beat Boyle County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bearcats' pitcher stepped up to hand the Rebels a 6-0 shutout on Wednesday. Considering the Bearcats have won 14 matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lafayette has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Anderson County, their win bumped their record up to 25-4.
Friday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Anderson County hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .358. However, it's not like Lafayette struggles in that department as they've averaged .323. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Anderson County was able to grind out a solid victory over Lafayette when the teams last played back in April, winning 9-4. Will the Bearcats repeat their success, or do the Generals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
