Elizabeth's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Koon has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Alani Gordon, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Westfield pushed their record up to 5-11 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for Elizabeth, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season.
Westfield will head out on the road to take on Morristown at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Morristown presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Westfield in New Jersey (Morristown is ranked 36th, while Westfield is ranked 163rd). As for Elizabeth, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Roselle Catholic at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
