The Armwood Hawks lost against the Wharton Wildcats back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Armwood was the victim of a tough 67-46 defeat at the hands of Wharton. Armwood has not had much luck with Wharton recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Talon Mckinnie and Jayden Dryden certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Mckinnie scored 13 points along with 6 assists, while Dryden scored 11 points along with 3 blocks. Dryden has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times he's played. Malakai Francis was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Armwood now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Wharton, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Armwood will take on Freedom at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wharton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hillsborough at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
