The New Milford Green Wave's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight loss. They fell to Masuk 57-53. New Milford has struggled against Masuk recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, New Milford had strong showings from Armani Checo, who scored 22 points, and Ryan Esposito, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelvin Mendoza, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
New Milford dropped their record down to 2-10 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Masuk, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Bethel the next time they take the court. New Milford will host Bethel at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Masuk will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
