The Coolidge Colts will take on the Maret Frogs at TBD on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Coolidge sitting on seven straight wins and Maret on three.
With a playoff game on the line, Coolidge rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 14-6 victory over Anacostia.
Coolidge can attribute much of their success to Ronnell Wheeler, who rushed for 31 yards and a touchdown, and Malachi Williams, who rushed for 106 yards on only 11 carries. Jacieon ?Way? Robertson and his 81 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Coolidge's win.
Meanwhile, Maret can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent match on Saturday. They beat KIPP DC Legacy College Prep by the very same score they won with last week: 44-6.
Their wins bumped Coolidge to 7-4 and Maret to 11-1.
Everything came up roses for Coolidge against Maret when the teams last played back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 37-8 win. Will Coolidge repeat their success, or does Maret have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
